Reading time: 2 – 3 minutes

The weekend was spent filming an episode of with Ghetto Abdullah with the help of Wisam Sharieff of Bayyinah as well as Sameer Sarmast and Uzair Sarmast of Qabeelat Durbah’s Simply Act.
Special thanks to Omer Farooq for letting me borrow his Sony Z1U camera for the weekend.
We’ve created a Facebook Page for Abdullah so you can follow along on this adventures and videos. Click the image to go there now.
After we did the two online videos for fun a little while back just to see where this goes, we found that support for Abdullah had been growing. We got emails, comments and messages from people to continue it.
Mind you, we’ve been looking into this project for a while and trying to see where the demand for something like this can go. We actually spent some time on market analysis and looking at the potential for a Islamically themed kids show.
My wife came up with the concept of presenting Abdullah in a theme based series of episodes. Each episode will consist of a story revolving around a specific theme with Abdullah as the central character. Audience will be joining Abdullah on his journey.
The following are some production stills shot from this weekend:

looks like you guys had a good time.
The past episodes were amusing, so looks like you’re fully “into” making this really happen.

Well, past videos weren’t really episodes. More like playing around. However, this time around were doing a market test to see what the real market response would be with a project like this.
There are a few metrics were looking at. One metric is whether or not we can pre-sell 300 DVDs before launch. This will determine whether or not were going to continue with this at all.
If it passes the first milestone, then the next metric is to sell about 2200 DVDs of season one within 8 months of launch. If both these milestones are met, then were going to go forward with this full force inshaAllah.

huh…so, you Predetermined your vision, and Layed down some milestones…
probably already Adjusted your priorities…and Notified people with this blog post and the past two videos.
you Allowed time for people to accept it, and just Headed into action.
So, bout that time to Expect problems, Always report your progress (this blog is a great outlet) and personally you both (you and your wife) should Daily review yourselves in this project.
(for anyone wondering what all that was, look at all the capitalized words and see what that spells).

@Jawaad -
It’s a little more detailed than that. Notification and Acceptance isn’t just via the blog, but has to do with all phases of the process. Notifying the right people for development, production and so on, ie; people in the show.
The “plan ahead” process is really an organic method of thinking and processing deadlines. It’s just laid out in a process so that for those who haven’t used it in process form can practice it enough times until it becomes a skill – leading the individual to develop a strength in planning for projects
