Peace be upon you all

Ever since the dawn of time, people have always been looking for ways to be in control.  Let’s admit it…we are all control freaks on some level, each looking to be fully in control of everything that happens in our own lives.

In just a few weeks, we will have the chance to control who runs our country…a chance to choose the person who makes decisions that effect us everyday…a chance to vote for the next president of the United States of America…

I know what your thinking…what is a “pro vote” article doing on this Leechon Blog?

It’s time that Muslims finally get into the main stream media and broadcasting.  The media, specifically film, is such a powerful tool that most of the time leads to some sort of action.  Just a couple of weeks ago, a DVD called “Obsession” was released by the supporters of FOX news, and shortly thereafter, attacks on Muslims were made in its name, right here in America!

The video shown above was written, produced, directed, and edited by the MAS Media foundation, a sub organization of the Muslim American Society, whose goal it is to dispel some of the stereotypes that Muslims are labeled with, and to give people positive messages with which they can better both their lives and society.

Leechon films is also in the process of making films “in an Islamic framework”, promising to entertain and educate the target audience, without including any haram elements.

It is very important that Muslims get into the media, but it is equally important for Muslims to vote.  I just forced my mom to fill out the voter registration form, even though she said she “can’t make a difference.”

We can ALL make a difference
“If there is anything Islam has proven, it is that one person can make a difference among many.”

Get out there, register to vote, and vote for the person you think will lead this country down a better path.
Do all you can, and leave the rest to Allah.

Oh and please, don’t drink stale milk…that’s disgusting.
