Leechon Produced Trailer on ABC News Terror Suspect Video
You’ve probably heard about the unfortunate news of the recent bombing attempt to blow up a Detroit-bound airline jet on Christmas Day by Nigerian terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
Turns out, in one of the news coverage videos they played the trailer I produced for AlMaghrib back in December 2007. The trailer plays from 2:00 – 2:26

I hope that this doesn’t affect the good work that people at AlMaghrib and the students are doing.
Seriously, I don’t understand what people like Umar Farouk Abdulmatallab are thinking. They’re not helping the Muslims or society. They’re simply making lives as Muslims harder.

Saad Malik Says:
Err…just makes me angry to see stuff like this.
Yusuf Says:
Well they really cracked the case on this one didn’t they!
Nahyan Says:
It’s weird how it’s such a big deal that he registered for a seminar….I don’t know what clue they get
On another note, fo real!
It’s badly presented, but atleast they didn’t shun AlMaghrib nor homeboy’s trailer. Now you can say, “Featured on ABC”
Sarah Says:
Maybe this will turn into a positive for AlMaghrib – and Leechon. Even in the articles, it seeems like they’re advertising for the classes when they describe it
InshaAllah khayr…
Dawud Israel Says:
Well, I guess this is what happens when we desire fame?
Hey, at least its something…?
So odd!
AlBaraa Says:
I don’t understand. What happens when who desires fame?
Dawud Israel Says:
I’m just reflecting, that how with the Muslim movie-making, we’ve (myself too) aspired for fame…the dream of a Muslim Hollywood and all. Now, when ya get something close to that fame, its not quite what we’d imagined, no?
Maybe Islam and the film industry isn’t a good idea after all. At least maybe not in North America?
AlBaraa Says:
Fame is just a byproduct my friend. It’s not the goal. The goal is to impact and influence maximum amount of people.
immad Says:
It’s just free advertisement for AM.
Because the truth is the truth.
It’s gunna be really hard for them to twist the truth and say that AM was the cause for this.
AbdAllah Says:
wow it really brings the attack on Islam so close to home….
First it was showing awlakis website on the news and i couldnt believe the audacity of all of it.
Now i chuckle when i see almaghribs website on here as if I almost expected it. And now Br. Bilals vids.
May Allah protect us from the whispers of Shaytan, increase us in faith, and reject this bogus implimentation.
Shirien Says:
@Dawud Israel:
I think if anyone’s intentions are fame, they should check their intentions at the door. You’re only setting yourself up for failure not only in this world but the hereafter. WAllahu alem.
Jawaad Ahmad Khan Says:
Now examining this from the viewpoint of someone that’s just read a book called “Made to Stick”,
It’s so funny how with stories on Muslims, it’s so much more coherent, and covered a whole LOT more than when someone else does something. Even if those small details have nothing to do with the heart of the matter, just their presence adds more credibility to the story….it’s sad, and very strategic.

abc news is of course one of the most reputable news sources these days “~~
