Know anyone that works with the media? Muslim OR non-Muslim?

Know any reporters, people who work for local TV stations, newspapers, magazines or even in the big leagues?

I want to here from YOU…

I’m putting together a media list and a database for Muslims to access. This will include all the contact information, their position, the company they work for, and this is going to be part of a bigger database in which you can seek services. Need a press release? No problem i’ll have you covered inshaAllah.

If you know someone or you yourself work with the media, please email me at media@ leechon.com (no space)

People who email me contact information will have a week of free access to this information insha’Allah once compiled.

   Assalamu*alaikum,
   Unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question but rather I’m wondering if anyone answered your question because I also need to create a database of Muslim media in the United States. Please let me know if you come up with anything.

   As a professional it’s vital to keep an ever expanding rolodex. There are plenty of tools out there to keep a database of contacts for specific purposes and categories of professions.

   I personally prefer using Google Contacts. You can organize and create groups.

   An important skill necessary to develop is that of networking effectively and efficiently. An excellent book I HIGHLY recommend for anyone who’s aspiring to be a well connected professional is, “Never Eat Alone” by Keith Ferrazzi

   inshaAllah I am collecting and establishing this database through Minbar Media, my PR firm inshaAllah. The intention is to have this ready sometime in mid-late 2009, with constant updates. And people can access it by paying a fee.
