Where Do You Want To See Me Go?

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes
A little while ago I posted this video on YouTube…
As you walk out and look upon the night sky
Under the canopy of the stars
And you see how high you can ascend
How far can your bubble take you?
Those specific words begged me to asked the following question these were the responses:

I want to take this a step further. Take my question and think deep and hard – If you can see me go anywhere in the WORLD – where would it be?

DC, think about it. the national mall was built for ppl to make cool vids and its only a few hours away from you!!!
As for the world i say either Libya or some African muslim country… that would be sick!

In the world? I’d like to see you visit Gaza, however personally my choice would be bhutan or mustang, as these places would give you a counterpoint to your traditional Islamic upbringing.

Well I guess it depends what you would be going for. I say Colombia, South America. Specifically maybe the city of Medellin or Pereira. There are Muslims there and it would be good to let Muslims here in America and around the globe know about them. Other than that, Gaza would be nice or anywhere in Palestine.

If in North America, I would have say (in order of preference):
1. Alaska (great for visuals)
2. Washington (state) (great for visuals)
3. Michigan (Dearborn, MI)
4. Chicago, IL
5. Boston, MA
6. Puerto Rico? (not really North America…but you can go there with a US passport, no?)
7. Hawaii
8. Washington, D.C.
9. Baltimore, MD
10. Philadelphia, PA
11. Florida
12. Oregon
But anywhere in the world…my first choice would most definitely be:
1. China
…There’s a huuuuuge Muslim population there, as I’m pretty sure you probably know.

Anywhere in North America?? The highest mountains. Figuratively and literally!
But anywhere you do go, I know Insha’Allah you’ll leave a great impression and you’ll be remembered.

Assalamou alaikum wa rahmatullah,
You need to correct the poem akhi, there’s a slight mistake.
‘can’ in the third sentence, not ‘an’.
Jazakhallah khair for sharing.

Jazakallahu khairun – I’ve fixed it.

what are u going to do when u get there?
i want to listen to the waves crashing on my private island beach resort in Malaysia. did you hear that? thats the boat approaching, it comes around 2x a day with fresh fruits for the kids
i want to feel the plight of the muslims as I walk the steps of the muslims who were expelled at Grenada, Andalus.
i want to become friends with the peaks of the Himalayas, the mountain itself will help me climb it.
i want to rub the heads of the small children and orphans I’ll meet, just like the propget (saw) did, when I spend time in the shantytowns of South Africa.
i want to make sujud at al Aqsa where rasul Allah (saw) led the prophets in salah.

Salaamu ‘alaikum,
good post as usual Bilal.
I would say Rome, France or somewhere exotic out of this country.
In this country, I have heard good things about Chicago, Dallas and Cali.
Does Cali really have all these stars walking around> How does that affect them, in terms of their mellowness?
Dallas has a great Muslim community. What ingredients make them so great?
