Two Heads are Better Than One

Couple months ago I saw the movie “The Prestige” by Christopher Nolan (He’s an amazing story teller). The story gave me the idea of duplicating myself, that way I can get more work in less time. This video is just introducing my copy. You will notice that he like to play with the remote a lot.

I think I’m going to offically name him “Al Baraa” after the sahaba Al Baraa ibn Malik.

    Asalam alaikum ahki,

That was cool, how did you do it? I know the scenes were shot separately. Jazaka Allah. Wa salam alikum

  3. AlBaraa Says:

Yea, i shot them separately. Key is to keep the exposure the same while you are shooting, and make sure not to move the camera.

Once you import the video, have the two scenes on separate tracks and use the crop feature in premiere to take from the left and right of both scenes.

I’m thinking that I may make a small short with myself. I have two episodes in mind:
ep1 - clone asks why I cloned myself, decides that hes a free man and refuses to do my bidding.
ep2 - clone shows up to school while I’m freaking out over the fact that someone might see us.

couple shots ima be keeping in mind:
    - over the should shots
    - medium close ups (only one on scene)
    - medium long shot…

will make for a good visual treat inshaAllah :-)
