    The song was great. I have come expect so much more from Leechon that this seemed like a big let down. Perhaps now I can see why you had used Ghetto to start with.

    my little brother and sister enjoyed the first episode a lot. I think you should take the clothes lying around the house out. The trailer really gives the episode an overall bad look but the rest is awesome, alhumdulilah. Finally something since Adam’s World. And the message of mercy is much deeper, better for kids, inshaAllah.

    @G. Vandi -
    Thanks for the comment.
    I’m sad that it was a big let down for you. However, I hope you enjoyed the episode. Just keep in mind, this project is simply a pilot/market test. We produced everything on a shoe-string budget. The only thing we really spent any money on was the sound design

    @Waleed –
    I’m glad your brother and sister liked it!
    Have you shared it with any of your friends? What has their response been so far?

    btw, which scene are you referring to when you say, “I think you should take the clothes lying around the house out.”

    toys 10 seconds into the trailer, don’t know if that’s on purpose and 14 seconds are the clothes. plus it seems he lives in a cramped room.(15 seconds) I don’t know if you can do anything about that but my recommendation is shoot the trailer in a bigger room.

    mashaAllah TABARAKALLAH! I like it. Some suggestions: It seems like you are trying to target a wide range of ages. Perhaps you can make the age range more specific. Kids of a younger age (infant-toddlers) might find the show to be moving too quick. In that case, repetition can be used like it has been for shows like Blue’s clues or Dora the Explorer. Repetition can be boring for older kids but it is the best tool of learning for younger kids. If it’s geared towards older kids then more humor can be added.

    salamu ‘alaikum,

    though i have liked all the almaghrib trailers, i don’t like this particular video for kids. maybe it’s a taste issue but it’s too rough for my liking. I can see how adults and your fans and fans of bayyinah would think it’s funny, but seriously, for little kids? the tajweed is lost in the plot. and though my 5 year old was watching as I viewed it, i felt bad that she was, because of the really rough language at the outset. i know there are different philosophies on child rearing, and perhaps this video is for those already exposed to the worst on tv or in their homes. however, for kids that we are trying to keep away from rudeness (ie they don’t even know yet that you can get upset about these things), I am not about ready to teach them good manners by first showing them horrible manners. my approach is to deal with it as it comes and not expose them to it early in life if they don’t know about it. some might say that kids see bad behavior at school and they need to learn to differentiate right from wrong…that’s true but I think there’s also an impact of seeing wrong too often, even if we KNOW it’s wrong we may sometimes accidentally use those ways of expression simply because it’s “all around us”…sorry for making this so long but I think this is a more adult audience video or for more corrupted teenagers perhaps…ok, well I guess kids get corrupted even at age 10 these days…
    just some honest feedback.

    @UMMMaryam

    Barak Allahu feeki for your comment. your concern has been noted and we will actually take this into consideration with future episodes. However, please understand that in writing a script, we also need to include conflict into a story. Many times that conflict will involve someone bullying someone else or some sort of bad behavior being corrected.

    This was our first time making something like this, and there will always been mistakes done along the way, but we definitely appreciate any honest feedback to help us become better.

    UmmMaryam -
    Jazakallahu khairun for your comment. I really appreciate the insight.

    However, doesn’t Allah-swt compare and contract the character and deeds of good people with the character and deeds of not-so-good people in the Qur’an?
