So basically we just have to record our voices making unique sounds and then digitally engineer it to sound like a real song that uses instruments but everything is generated from the mouth.

I'd like to see a good scholarly approach to this, becuase this is music.

I think the song is a cover and not an original. That's a little disappointing as I was hoping for some unique stuff. But whatever. Iz they Mozlems?

Regarding the "vocal music" thing I did hear Sh Yasir Birjas say a few negative words about an album that sounded exactly like instrumental music but only used human voices. He didnt exactly give a fatwa only disapproval.

The human voice is indeed far superior than musical instruments.

To say that peoples voices that somehow can sound exactly like instruments or synthesized sounds that can do the same are ok, but other music is not sounds a bit Yahoodi-ish, like how they wear wigs but cover their own hair and consider it a hijab.

Im not a scholar on this subject, and I've only begun to read up on it. The basic premise is that the sounds have to come from a source that is permissible. (there's a lot more to it and inshaAllah when I start my book study with my teacher on the subject I'll post the result here).

If its from the mouth its all good. Allah-swt has allowed it. Most instruments out there that they use, are not allowed according to the major scholars of Islam.

I'm not sure I get it, if we can somehow find a man that is capable of making sounds that sound exactly like instruments, we can sample and use him to give us a library of music that sounds no different from instruments?

Is computer generated music then ok, because no strings are actually involved?

SubhanAllah. Allah-swt's creation is far superior to man's psudo-creation. Amazing how one's voices can produce such sounds
